Korean ingredients and culture in an innovative way.
Born in Australia, Joseph has worked in prominent restaurants around the world, The French Laundry in Napa ,US as well as The Ledbury and Tom Aikens in London, UK . Since a young age, Joseph has been intrigued by different ingredients and cultures around the world. This has led him to work on a number of culinary projects and popup restaurants in various cities – New York, Hong Kong and Yangon, plus many more.
Joseph and his team have established their culinary haven at EVETT in Yeoksam-dong, Seoul, since 2019. In this restaurant, they curate a tasting menu rooted in Korean ingredients and traditional cuisine, infused with a fresh perspective derived from ideas and techniques sourced globally. Accompanying the course menu is a Korean alcohol pairing selection, featuring a diverse array of beverages from all corners of the nation, complemented by a thoughtfully curated wine list.
EVETT was honored with a Michelin star in the 2020 Guide and has proudly retained this accolade. Additionally, Chef Joseph Lidgerwood was recognized with the Michelin Young Chef Awards in 2021.
In August 2023, EVETT made a significant move to the vicinity of Dosan Park in Apgujeong, Seoul, to delve deeper into the rich tapestry of Korean ingredients. This relocation has ushered in new changes to the restaurant, marking an exciting chapter in their culinary journey.
